I installed XP on my new system and when I put in my Look 'n' Stop licence number in where it says Serial number it doesn't stay--just can't validate it. I am only using one computer.

Isn't my license number what goes in where it asks for Serial Number?

I just noticed that the Code on the Registration page cannot be changed and it's different from the Stop Code I have saved. So perhaps that's why I am unable to validate my serial number. But the question is how can I put in my stop code?

Your license is tied to your hardware ... If you change your hardware (hard drive specifically) LnS will have a different code, so your serial number won't match it. You'll need to contact soft4ever and explain your situation, and they'll assist you further.

How long is it supposed to take before they get back to me? I sent them an e-mail last week and still no reply.

Well you sent your message Friday ... and it has just turned Tuesday ... so it's only been two business days - the email could have gotten lost as well. I'm not sure what address you sent the initial email to but send one to ... looknstop [AT] soft4ever [DOT] com ... and start the subject line with "Look 'n' Stop" (minus the quotes). You could also send Frederic a PM.

I went to their website and used Contact Us and sent it in as a registered member, and I sent another e-mail!

Do they get so much e-mail that it takes more than 3 business days to reply?

    Hi JVM,

I don't see an open case corresponding to your request.

Could you contact me via PM with your registration number and I will check.

    Thanks,

    Frederic
