I am a WinPatrol Plus (paid version) user. The latest version (11.3.2007)
has a start-up delay function which allows you to delay any start-up
program by however many minutes and seconds you want. I delay start
a couple of program 2-5 minutes. Earlier versions had some bugs,
but this version is running perfectly on XP SP2.

    Thanks Namor and FadeAway.

I am still thinking what to use. Also i found another program from the threahd Namor provided. I think i Winpatrol would be overkill because i already have Online-Armor +AV with firewall and Prevx2 running realtime.

    I think i will Xecutor a try.

That's the one I use. Have used it for 3 years. It can do more than merely delay startups. A few examples: It can sequence start-ups, tell a program not to start until others finish loading, tell it to load a program at start-up, but ONLY at certain times of the day, etc.

    Wouldn't be without it.

I am testing it now. Will see how i get on with it. Can you use it to start security programs aswell or will they automaticly put themself back in the usual place in start up?

Most security programs run as services -- which is as it should be. Those programs are outside the purview of Xecutor AFAIK.

Thank you bellgamin. I thought that would be the case. Still learning to use it.
