when I use HTTPS Everywhere with Chrome x64, I can't access Wilders, unless I click through the warning message, to reach the non-secured version of the site.
I used to have that problem but don't now in Firefox or Chrome since wilderssecurity.com changed their certificate. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/new-server-and-new-certificate-installed.384598/
You might want to try HTTPS by default as an alternative (homepage). After installing it, Firefox requests all websites over https, hence no ruleset is necessary as in HTTPS Everywhere. I've been testing it as of late. So far no complaints.
on chrome 64bit. tested after restarting browser and left it running for a few minutes. monitored via chrome built-in task manager
That's interesting. I use Chrome 32 bit and I'm seeing around 100mb usage for HTTPS Everywhere. The about:addons-memory extension shows much lower memory usage for Firefox in general compared to the Windows task manager, so not accurate somehow.
Thanks. I installed HTTPS by default. HTTPS everywhere has given be a bad taste in my mouth few years ago.
HTTPS Everywhere 5.2.0 (Firefox) Is it only me, or is it normal to have this very big "S"-icon? I think they doubled the size of it with this new version
I much preferred the original logo. However, I have just noticed that if you use a site that does not support https, then the deep blue background to the "S" dims to a pale blue. Kinda neat! EDIT. Of course the old logo may have done something similar and I never noticed!
v5.2.1 fixes the "big icon" problem: Correct. 5.2.1 fixed it. I noticed it too. If there are no https-rules available = pale blue, else = dark blue
