Today, we have a short, elegant distribution-agnostic tutorial explaining how to work around the problems and errors with the HP proprietary printing plugin hpcups for Linux by using the alternative footmatic drivers, plus additional tips and tricks for Apparmor, other guides, and more.

USA still the best. But barely.
My latest experience was with Kubuntu 14.04 & a ~2001 XP desktop with 1999 hardware.

Ocky (props to Ocky) said to check if hplip was installed it was. Then check on hplip-gui & that was not installed. Installed hplip-gui, went to 'Printer Toolbox' under System followed that & Bob's your uncle.

Seems stupid that Kubuntu (maybe Ubuntu) didn't come with hplip-gui installed.
