How well does NOD32 protect itself

    Is it true that if a AV or even FW software gets attacked by a trojan, worm, virus etc it can make it useless and therefore your PC vunerable to attacks. While we all use AV and FW's software's to protect our PC's at the same time should we also protect our security software. I;ve just downloaded Process Guard 3.0 but also will like to know how good or well does NOD32 protect itself from AV and other malicious attacks.

    Also will process guard 3 protect my ZA firewall as well and I'm using the free version btw.
