RVS is on real time protection.
How to carry out update, all updates?
Does the RVS real time protection have to be turned off?
How can any application such as Windows be update otherwise?

    fuquen,

When you talk about realtime protection, I assume you mean System Safe (as opposed to issues with the AV)...., because of how objects are treated, you can do this:
    • Under the File Manager, declare the specific files and folders that are updated. I wouldn't use this approach unless you know that all file/folder names are constant. In other words, it's really best for newly added discrete content (think downloaded files).
    • Under System Safe, select the "Save all changes" option prior to a restart. The downside, it's an all or nothing proposition so the desired updates and everything else connected to that session are saved.
    • Personally, I only update Windows and applications when System Safe is off. It seems to involve less chance of the outcome going wrong. Now, from a usage perspective, I run System Safe on demand, it does not start with Windows as I have configured it.

Thank you very much, Blue and Robin A!

Actually, my question is not about how to update.
I am trying to lead the discussion to the question of installing other security softwares.

Years ago, I installed PowerShadow on my PC when it was free.
With that software installed, i could install three other security softwares,
Avira and Comodo Firewall & Internet Security and Spyware Terminator,
without any confliction with PowerShadow. Therefore, my PC was relatively
protected by the other security softwares when updates and downloads and
    installations were taking places.

RVS Home Free 2010 has a Virus Guard.
    Question:
Does anybody have tried installing RVS Home Free 2010 and at the same
time and on the same PC installing other security softwares?
What security softwares are they if yes?
And what are the outcomes if any?

Thank you and appreciate your share very much !
