How to tell what's changed between backup files

I, and I believe others, have asked how to tell what files have been backed up, say, in an incremental backup.

Since Acronis does not offer a programmatic interface, the best we can do is mount the drives from two consecutive backups and see what has changed.

To faciltate this, I've written a program that will compare any two drives.
So, if one, or both, of the drives are virtual drives from TI or ghost or ..., the program will allow you to compare up to 13 pairs of drives.

For example, I decided to compare my N and O drives, both USB drives used to save TI, Ghost and Retrospect files. I recently reformatted the N drive, so it has only a few files.

I'm just outputting a list of the differences into a text file. Currently, the output looks like that given below:

Files that were on N, but are not on O are identified as DELETED.
Files that are on both N and O are identified as MODIFIED.
Files that are on O, but not on N, are identified as ADDED.

This seems to provide the info I was after.
I will make the program available, likely this weekend.

Although I beat on TI for the problem I reported in https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?p=698698#post698698, I must say something positive (ouch, that hurts!).

TI's virtual volumes seem to work with the program I posted in this thread.
Not ALL Ghost 10 virtual volumes work with the program.
Of course, now I either need to find out why, or try to avoid the problem.
I'll discuss this in a none Acronis thread, at some point.

Re: How to tell what's changed between backup file

    Just posted version 1.0.0.3.

I believe that I found a solution to the Ghost 10 mounted volumes issue.

The problem was not caused by the CompareDrives program.
