    Problem now solved:

Recently, my computer started running "Windows Search" and it used to start right out with "Windows Companion" when I hit "Control-F" to search for something.

I find "Windows Search" completely worthless and just a needless additional mouseclick to replace it with "Windows Companion".

Is there a way to get this back the way it used to be?

    Thanks

Re: Solved: How to replace Windows search with Windows companion?

I found a fix with a Google search. It involves a change in the registry but was easy and solved the problem.

I searched "how to set windows companion as default" and there is a lot of info there. Must be a common problem.
