I had never used Avanquest Fix-It before and it came with another program I bought so I thought I would try it. Since it is from Avanquest, I assumed that it would be a well written program. Big mistake.

After running it for a few minutes, I realized that I did not need or want it so used Revo to uninstall it. Now, every time I start MS Outlook 2010, a Fix-It window pops up.

I did a search for "Fix-It" remnants and found a few and deleted them too. In spite of that, it is still lurking in the shadows.

Before removing and reinstalling Outlook, I thought I would ask if anyone else had this experience with it and was able to get rid of it.

Any ideas on how to clean this junk off my computer?

    Thanks

With crapware, I resort to Rollback RX to get rid it of it for good!

    Thanks for the replies.

I was going to try system restore first but found that it is turned off so I had no restore points. I tried to turn it back on but the system would not allow access to the button to turn it on. I am running Windows 8.

In a few minutes I am going to download RollbackRX and see if that will do the job. If it doesn't I am going to reinstall MS Outlook and hope that gets rid of it.

It won't help as like System Restore it was "turned off". You don't have a snapshot to roll back to.

It can removed with Final Unistaller, however I'm not sure if it will remove anything until you buy it. But even if it won't remove anything, you will be able to find what files and registry keys it finds leftover from Fix-It Utilities and remove them manually.
