Just installed linux and I am still very carefully moving around. I plugged in my usb stick to transfer some files and now I wonder how to remove it again. In windows I believe it is best practice not to just pull it out but to stop it first in the little icon in the taskbar. Anything similar in Linux?

Edit: just noticed that the icon is on the desktop and I can right click there :D
