after experiencing problems playing minecraft, I have been adviced to manually add it to my firewall exceptions list and allow port 25565.

    how do I do this?

You can use the this article to open port 25565 and perhaps even use this article to exclude the program from RT protection.

Are you able to get to http://kb.eset.com? If so, search for SOLN2149 on the first link and SOLN2153 on the second link. I'll look into why my links aren't working.

tried those, they didn't fix it either. doesn't look like my problem is eset related.
