Every time I try to install just about ANY application, even if it's 100% legit, SpywareTerminator comes up with 20 dialogs... "allow this? allow that? how bout this?" Can't I just somehow set it so it only warns me when there is KNOWN or maybe very very suspicious file activity?

That is the main problem of such kind "tools". They owns your computer as the same malware and screaming about everything that trying to work :)

Oh ok.. maybe I should just uninstall this then, because it's going to be a total pain. And I don't see any setting that tells it to only warn me of KNOWN adware/spyware.

have u turned off teh HIPS? and have u thoroughly checked settings?

by default the settings for the guards permission level is "Stop Threats access only" which is what u want i think.

Install everything you need before you turn the hips on.

Easy solution. Just disable the HIPS when you want to install something that you know is clean. Once installation is done, enable the HIPS.

I am glad this was posted. I have ditched a couple of otherwise good AS programs due to this exact issue. ST was one of them along with a couple of others.
