    Hello,

I want to encrypt Internet Explorers Temporary Internet Files folder (IE8 on Windows 7) with EFS. This isn't possible with the original Temporary Internet Files folder but if you make a new folder, EFS encrypt it and set it to be the TIF folder, it works. Somewhat at least: The cache files itself do get encrypted but not the index.dat.

Does anyone know if there is trick to encrypt the index.dat as well?

    Thanks a lot!

index.dat is an operating system file. If it is encrypted and not found by the operating system, the operating system will probably create another index.dat or give you an error message.
