Lately this thing has started to get on my nerves, more and more. It´s so freaking ugly! :gack: Why didn´t M$ make it prettier? You even see this crap inside Windows and sometimes inside other apps, not only on websites. I hope it´s somehow possible to turn it off in IE. Any ideas? Perhaps we can edit some dll file with Resource Hacker?

Also 1s there any way to change the same old blue color lettering in IE internet pages in Google for example.

Personally i am also sick of that same old blue on blue lettering and would be nice to have an option of color text to choose from,

To be honest, I have never applied this tweak, because I never saw this thing in Windows until recently! I don´t know what the hell happened, but I´m starting to see it more and more! I wonder, will this tweak only kill it in Windows Explorer, or in all apps? I can´t believe those idiots at M$ didn´t give an option to disable it!

@EASTER - do you mean the color of links? You can change the color:

If you have IE6 the dialogs will look different but it is there.

Yeah, this is good. If you click the link at the bottom of that window (How to ignore preset colors) you have different options. One that I think will work for sure (if the others don't) is the ability to use your own style sheet. I think I've worked with removing that focus border a long time ago, in CSS, so it must be possible.

I think i need to try to change style sheets myself.

    Thanks WSFuser

I'm sick of the blue lettering everytime my Google Search Home Page shows up (Yuck!) Don't they believe in variety anymore? They sure do when it comes to Holidays on the GOOGLE title.

@ WSFuser, I see that you suffer from the same problem. Apparantly the tweak doesn´t kill the dotted outline inside GUI, correct?
