I have a hard drive on another computer which is connected via lan to my laptop. I also have an external hard drive connected via USB2 to the same laptop.

I'd like to know whether it is possible, either with Acronis True Image or the Server edition, to do a disk clone operation from my laptop, cloning the disk on the network to the external USB2 disk. Can Acronis recognize mapped drives residing on the network and clone them?

    Thanks.

Direct cloning via network is not supported yet.
But you can create an image of your drive and store it on your external USB drive connected to another computer, or you can restore the created image to this USB drive.
In other words -- yes, you can use Acronis True Image to clone your drive to an external USB drive connected to the other computer.
