After playing around with things on XP my account has become 'password protected' meaning manual log-on each time. How? I don't recall.

Where does one go to delete "Password Protected"? :(

In Windows XP start the computer, press f-10 or press Delete Before boot. There are 5 different screens of options, I think it is on the security screen.
