When I enter a command like:

    nslookup foobar.dyndns.org

then I get always a timeout.
As I found out LnS prevents outgoing calls to DNS server
    for nslookup.

How do I setup a rule to allow nslookup calls?

    Hi,

    Some additional information is required:

What kind of blocked packets do you see in Look 'n' Stop log (especially the ports) ?

Are you using a standard ruleset with the two rules:
    - "UDP : Authorize name resolution (DNS)-KB951748"
    - "UDP : Authorize name resolution (DNS)"

What is your version of Windows, and the version of Look 'n' Stop ?

    Thanks,

    Frederic

Hmm, I have already an entry "UDP : Authorize name resolution (DNS)"
Where do I get/download the other Rule?

    WinXP+SP3

    LnS V2.06

The other rule can be downloaded from here:
    http://www.looknstop.com/En/faq_problems.htm#KB951748

However, if this rule was missing, you should have some other issues when browsing internet. So I'm not sure the problem is here.

If it still doesn't work with that rule, please look at Look 'n' Stop log to see what are the blocked packets. Probably DNS packets, but the interesting information is the local port for these packets.

    Regards,

    Frederic
