A useful reminder why providing your phone as part of two-factor authentication is a bad idea. Shame that most big providers are desperate to con you into doing it this way, not because it benefits you, but because they then have you by the very important (economically) phone number, and running their app on the smartphone, with whatever access you allow it to have to contact lists and so on. The only two-factor I want is a hardware dongle, with me operating recovery/replacement mechanisms.
