I think is hard to say "how strong" is fiewall module in SS, because it's not classical firewall where you can setup individual rules for each apps. As I remember firewall is the more granular replacement of "anti-network spy" module in SS Premium and is based more on detection of HIPS module.
I don't remember that I saw the results of firewall tests made by known laboratory/page/forum but few days ago Matousec gave us results SS FW 1.5 in their own tests - is quite impressive...79%. I know, I know....Matousec and his tests ...but this result always show how high is possible security level.
