Perfect disk user here and I go through a ritual with my defrags.

1.Shutdown all running apps-usually just ZAP and Sandboxie.

2.Open taskmanager and end explorer process.

    3.Taskmanager-new task-run command to reset layout.ini file-"Rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks"

    4.Taskmanager-new task-perfect disk.exe-smart placement defrag

    5.Taskmanager-new task-explorer

    And Bob's your uncle,am I a weirdo or what!!:)

I also use Perfect disk a whole lot less. I will actually defrag with it when I update my baseline, or if I have to uninstall it for some reason.

I'm only using one - PerfectDisk. Incidentally, I've not had to defrag for ages now - the recommendation has been 'None' each time I analyse the drive.

If I used Rollback Rx, I wouldn't use any as that program has its own built-in defragger.
