A simple poll to report on how many extensions you have installed your Chrome browser.
Obviously, this poll is created for Chrome users.

    Just this:
Download YouTube Videos as MP4 - Version: 1.2.3
Adds a button that lets you download YouTube videos.

Because I intend to use Chrome only for downloading videos from YouTube.
(Thanks to Mr. Pink :) )

Well, if I wanted to use Fx I'd have to turn off Privoxy and SimpleBlock and turn on Flash. It's simpler to just keep an updated version of Chrome (with nothing to turn on or off) for the purpose. Plus this way, I get Flash updated along with Chrome whereas I would have to update Flash for Fx separately.

    I use
ChromeAccess - quick access to about pages
    FlashBlock - always use
SessionManager - use when doing research only
    SmoothGestures - always use
    Web2PDFConverter - use moderately
YouTubeDownloader - use when needed only

I have been using AdBlock for awhile now, and don't mind it, but it can make things a bit sluggish. Since I use Chromium, some versions work very well and some are a bit slow. Almost every time disabling AdBlock has fixed the issue. Common symptoms are sluggish mouse and context menu slow to come up.

Tonight I dug out Proxomitron, as I wanted to test a few things. I decided to give Andrews (Kye-u) filter a try, the one that is similar to noscript. Well, I don't really see what he is talking about in Chromium (the transparent buttons), but man, talk about fast page loads. I bypassed it to be sure, and it is simply astounding how much faster it is. AdBlock can create a very slight delay sometimes on a page with lots of ads (like msn etc), but now whatever my config is for proxomitron is working really well. Just might make me start using it again after a few years of not bothering.

    Sul.

EDIT: Tonight I just added another extension - Netflix Watch Now Layout Fix - it gets rid of that ghastly new layout. You can just use this too http://www.netflix.com/WiHome?fcld=true, but it only works for the first page, if you navigate further you will be right back to that retarded scrolling layout.

99% of time I got no extensions. This because I use a profile with JavaScript disabled.

1% of time I got 2 extensions: AdBlock Plus and TrafficLight.

I might ditch AdBlock Plus. I was thinking of giving Adblock a try, but I may go through a different path, though. I might take a look at Privoxy, instead.

    I'll see... :doubt:

That button wasn't visible the last time I visited YouTube. Mr. Pink has pointed out that it's a case of now you see it, now you don't. Very odd.

Oops. The poll is flawed. I neglected to include a "0" category. :)

Then enter the closest thing... 1-3.
It's too late for me to change the choices.

3 weeks later and still getting by with just three extensions...

    AdBlock
    BitDefender QuickScan
    Click&Clean

    Considering adding TrafficLight.
    Anybody using it?
I installed the full standalone version yesterday and it blue screened me.
The extension might be different... less powerful, I believe.

Removed AdBlock with the addition today of Ad Muncher.
Actually I just disabled AdBlock until I am sure that Ad Muncher is gonna be a keeper.
That's 2 Chrome extensions currently in use.
    :)
