I like 8 and am looking for something light to use with it. Of course WSA is my first choice and wonder what you think.
It great just like it is on Windows 7 other then the fact that the "Scan with webroot" right click item keeps breaking. But then again it looks like only a few users have this annoying issue lol
Works perfectly fine under WIN8... you need to watch out for several WIN8 components that can be under "monitor". But I guess by now they should have been whitelisted. Never used the right click scan, so I can't say.
Things have worked perfectly here thus far.No issues with any component of WSA or windows 8.All working as it should.I have win defender disabled(my choice)and am running the windows firewall(till privatefirewall is updated) and admuncher.
I am not running Windows 8 personally, BUT I can state that some other vendor's (AVG and Avast for sure) have been releasing Win8-related fixes rapidly the last ten days or so. As a result, I am pleased to see that (so far at least) WSA is running smoothly on Windows 8.
trjam said that WSA was working well for him under Windows 8 in this Avast thread: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=335106. I am NOT trying to put words in his mouth, simply stating what he said is his latest post in the above thread...
It is, so far it is the least troublesome of what I have tried. Avast was a hard drive issue. Seemed it kept it going and going. Eset was very good but there was a strange issue in the tray with my action center icon flickering on and off when it isn't even set to show. Would still like to try Avira, but.
WSA seems to be the least buggy out of any of the antivirus suites I've tried so far. Runs perfectly with Windows 8.
