    Actually I was >_>

    Here's how I did it:
Turn paranoid mode on and community rules off entirely as soon as you install.

Open all of your programs and do everything you'd normally do (and maybe things you might not normally do) and give everything its permissions.

Then when you're convinced that everything has the permissions it needs you can start revoking permissions - so once you know that Digsby only needs to do some random suspicious act you can block all other suspicious acts.

This way if a program is hijacked it's limited to that single act.

    Mhm.

If you want to be really sure you don't break any programs you can go ahead and wait a month - that way everything will have updated (including windows) and you can be sure that all behaviors are learned.

I don't think that it's the intended use and I'd be interested to hear what that Emsisoft mod has to say about it but I really like the idea of forcing applications to "be good" whether they've been hacked or not.

Well I have decided to try your setting Hungry Man but in EAM v6 instead of Mamutu standalone.

    Sounds good.

It's most effective for something like browsers or plugins, which are targeted but I've also applied it to OS files and pretty much anything else I could find.

I actually like the BB better with community alerts off lol. I never turned them off before but I never really paid them attention to them either :D

    Well, whatever works for you.

My only issue with Mamutu is that I can't force it to monitor whitelisted programs - it seems to refuse. In these cases I've had to trial/error what can and can't be blocked.

Yea I hear ya. I don't think they will be changing that. I just never really paid attention to settings for Mamutu/EAM BB thats all. Mainly in EAM since I haven't used mamutu standalone until recently. Just more stuff to tweak and play with.

I still think Mamutu is pretty weak in some aspects (Keylogging, it's kinda useless according to newbie tests)
They need to improve the rules

So your computer is infected or you are blocking safe applications?
Many legit apps may do something that can be consider suspicious by Mamutu but that does not mean that is dangerous or you have to block it.

I block safe applications from doing any suspicious behaviors that they don't need to do. That way if the program is hijacked it's limited - the program should continue to work fine.
