We are using Tigertext secure messaging app at the medical practice I now work at, due to the HIPAA patient data privacy requirements and Tigertext is on of the few secure messaging app that is truly HIPAA compliant.

Anyways we use it all the time and it has really helped cut the time on consults and record updating.

We are thinking of using it on our desktops (Tigertext has this option), and I was wondering if we get messages on our desktop, can we some how integrate them in to our email system, or would that create a HIPAA issue?

E-mail is insecure by default, so I would expect that to be a HIPAA issue.
