How do you Turn Off the scanning feature in Kaspersky Pro 5.0.12?

    I would like to know how to turn it off, because this thing uses CPU, it's scanning files all the time, and I don't wanted to, I just want to run the scan whenever I want too. If you don't know what I'm talking about here a little screen shot:

    That is how many files KAV has scanned with the resident monitor, such as files on webpages while you surf.
    If you want to stop background monitoring, just disable real time monitoring, but I would not advise that.
    I have been amazed at the speed of this program as it is not slowing me down a bit.

    you will see an improvements in performance after you do a full system scan because of the infamous ADS tags for ntfs and the ichecker for the fat32...
