    Hi,

I'm currently creating a decent backup schedule for a server.
But .. i cannot really figure this out.

How can i best schedule the following:

    - one full backup every Monday at 0.00h
    - incremental backups on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Every week i want the same 5 files refreshed for THAT week. So for example fullbackup1.tib, incremental2.tib, incremental3.tib, incremenal4.tib, incremental5.tib.

And after one week .. those files are overwritten by new ones.

What is the exact schedule method for this ??

    With regards,

    Sander.

You need two schedules one which creates incremental images on Tue Wed Thur & Fri. A second schedule which only creates a full image on a Monday.

    Ok thanks !

    I'll try that.

But will the 4 incremental images be overwritten after one week ?

I do not want to have 100 incrementals after some months.

Yes. Once the base image is rewritten, the existing incremental ones are effectively orphaned, and will be overwritten as each new incremental file (based on the new base image) is created.
