How do I run Firewall Control effectively?

    I've downloaded Windows Firewall Control and it basically blocked most things. I don't know much about computers or firewalls. I 'enabled all' for firefox, is this okay or is it defeating the purpose of me installing the firewall?

    Also I play online poker and would it be safe if I enable all to that site?

    If so, what stuff shouldn't I enable?
