Had my browser hijacked a few months ago. All my friends were gloom and doom, got all kinds of suggestions ranging from live with it to buy another computer. Local PC repair shop gave me little hope, said to drop it off and they'd see what they could do. A friend of a friend suggested Wilders. Two days later, my PC was clean and has remained so.

Now wiser, more careful and eternally grateful!

I came across the Nod32 Forum link by accident on the Nod32 Australia website, had not noticed it there before, and that was a while ago. Now a lot wiser with many thanks to the Staff and Members of Wilders...

    Cheers :D

I was invited to become a staff member here at Wilders, took it as a great honor to be asked and in doing so, accepted ;) :D

I found Wilders close to three years ago because all my friends at my home site (dslr) said to come here also. We consider Wilders our second home. :) We even post in our security forum when Wilders is down and we come here when our site is down. We also come here because we have great respect for this site and for Paul and we enjoy our "other" home. ;)

JimIT recommended the forum to me.

Since I became a reseller for NOD32, I needed a place to keep updated with what's going on, what's coming out, and common troubleshooting methods.

This place is addicting...you never know what someone is going to say next :)

    LOL!! Infinity, never predictable, huh??

I got a new Dell in 2003 (not 2004), never figured out what was so great about a chat room and needed to learn- went to the Dell (a-Hem) forum and was instantly mesmerized by a few posters who seemed to know soo much! ChrisRLG was one, he kept talking about Tom Coyote's forum and Wilders', when the Dell forums said they wouldn't help with spyware anymore (then) - flew to Wilders' - admit I liked the name - and found a second home.
Go to other forums, but, there is no other like Wilder's - you can learn - you can have fun - you can make friends - you can get into trouble (Acadia, me too!) - it's the perfect Family!!
And I respect the way Paul and the rest of the Big Guys run it... with some integrity and class...... :D

I noticed an unusually large percentage of Security and general Google searches led to Wilders. It turned out to be one of the most educational and interesting places on the net. An excellent variety of topics and caring individuals with diverse opinions. It's my first and last stop when I establish my internet connection.

Well I got here through various google searches of Anti-Virus reviews and detection rates. I found various tests' links here.

I lurked here the whole of 2004.....After which I decided to join. When I first came I was very serious, no jokes, no crap, simply come to the forums, do your thing, and go!

I stepped into ten-forward to start a thread which was the root of some bad memories I wont forget.....

Since then everything's been fine. I love this forum. You can learn, teach, have fun, give fun....and so much more :)

I also deeply appreciate the Admin and Mod Teams for their efforts in keeping law and order, they do very well :)

Found TDS-3 through TechSupportAlert.com and bought it, accidently registered here instead of the DiamondCS forums. I already had NOD32 and it seemed like I kept seeing Wilders mentioned with every product I really liked. So I took a look around, and haven't left this seat since. I'm thinking one of these years I should get up and go to the kitchen and/or bathroom by myself.. :D

believe it or not it was my 83 year
old grandmother who referred me to
    wilders and dsl reports.

last year i loaned my grandmother my
computer, i was heading down south for
work, and i figured we would use email
    to stay in touch.

i started receiving emails from her to
say she had taken an interest in computer
security and as proof she forwarded links
to two security sites that she said were
her favorites, dsl reports, and wilders.org.

funniest part of this story is that while
it was me who loaded grandma a computer,
it was grandma who first started teaching
    me about computer security.

my grandmother passed away in february
and i still come to wilders daily because
what grandma taught me is you are never to
    old to learn.
