How can I select safe Windows Phone 8 app?

    All the apps that I have gone through till now in the windows marketplace has Data access (or something similar, meaning that the app can connect to the Net) mentioned. Is this put by default in all WP apps?

    My biggest concern is how can I ensure that the app is not sending my personal details over the air?

    It depends on the app. An app that wants "data access" or however it's called simply needs access online from WiFi or cellular. However it can't "send your data" unless it also has access to other things e.g. "Contact list"
