Hotspare causing "Failed to read from the sector"

    I have a drive setup as a hotspare which shows in Computer Management as "unreadable", when I start Acronis, it gives an error message: "Failed to read from the sector 0 of the hard disk 2" If I remove the drive as a hot-spare it works fine, but I would like to have the hot-spare.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Please collect the following information:

    - Create Acronis Report and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post;

    - Make a screen shot of Windows Disk Management;

    Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management;

    - Find the full version name and build number as it is shown here;

    Send all the collected files and information to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.
