Home page has been locked by "ABOUT:BLANK"

    It's seems that I've tackled the problem by changing it through the registry, but it still doesn't completely solve the problem. Even though the default home page is right. The window when I can change the default has been locked or frozen.

    Does anyone have a solution for this.

    Hello ninja,

    Can you explain this a little more please? What do you mean by that window being "locked or frozen"? Are you talking about the Internet Explorer > Tools menu > Internet Options... > Home Page section being unchangable? Or, can't you get into Internet Options at all? If that's the case, is there an error message?

    Assuming you mean that the Home Page is locked, does it look like this image (below)? Notice that the buttons and address line for the home page section are grayed out and can't be changed? Is that what you are seeing?

    If the IE option for changing the Home Page is grayed out like in the image above, and if you have SpywareBlaster, it is an option on its Tools panel... If you uncheck the option, you'll be able to edit the Home Page setting again in IE.
