Using latest stable, and CryptoGuard stopped Steam from downloading DCS World.

    @ erikloman

If you have the time, perhaps you can test HMPA against the tools that I mentioned in post #2125.

    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/thre...discussion-thread.324841/page-85#post-2401656

I´m also still waiting for news about the Zemana SSL logger test. If HMPA doesn´t protect against it, let us know.
And I also found another tool, I wonder if HMPA will spot the code injection. :)

It has been quiet in this thread for some time. We've been working hard on preparing a new development build (CTP3) with many additions and improvements. Stay tuned :thumb:

Does that mean a new build will be released on wilders?
Maybe its been quiet on here due to the doubt whether a new build would be released on wilders.
( people wonder if there's any point mentioning bugs?)

I'd like to point out after weeks of using this, I've still had 0 problems. Can't wait for the final release.

Thanks...I don't think I should be overly concerned.

Probably, might have something to do with Maxthon browser that I installed recently, and use on occasion, in place of my usual browser of choice, Opera.

Has the Agnitum outpost firewall conflict been fixed in the next CTP?

Yesterday, I reinstalled HMP.Alert again, after I first tried it in 2012, unsuccessfully. Obviously, HMP.Alert has come a long way, in the 2 years, since I last installed it.

After, a reboot, this morning, both HMP and HMP.Alert, are working in tandem.

Thanks for sharing with us your experiences, however - if you really care about your security, why still using XP?
    P.S.
no offense intended, just a question.

No offense taken...I just like XP, for the time being, and I believe I can keep it secure. ;)

I'm not sure those low numbers are right, even if I do a quickscan I get more than 3500 files.

Glad to hear that. May I ask if you have enabled all the protections? :)

I installed HMPA3 beta, and it installed to the following path:C:\Program Files (x86)\HitmanPro.Alert\hmpalert.exe. When ever I access HMPA's GUI it is launching from my downloads folder located at the following path C:\Users\username\Downloads\hmpalert.exe, instead of from it's installation folder located here C:\Program Files (x86)\HitmanPro.Alert\hmpalert.exe ? I noticed this right away because AppGuard blocked it from launching. I can make an exception in AG to allow HMPA to launch from the user-space, but I don't want to. I don't see any reason why it should be launching from my downloads folder. I also have regular Hitman Pro installed in case you need that info. Why would HMPA be launching from my download folder in the user-space instead of from C:\Program Files(x86)\hmpalert.exe? I'm using Windows 7X64 Ultimate.

I have unburied the HMPA taskbar icon twice now, but each time I reboot the icon is buried again.

Hmm.. HMPA is no longer launching from my downloads folder in the user-space after rebooting a 2nd time. How strange. I guess the 2nd time was a charm in this case. Maybe it's good information for the developers to know anyways.

I would recommend better spacing for this application Window. I would move all the applications over to the left a little more, and place a sliding bar on the right edge of the Window so users can navigate up, and down the application list. The applications listed to the furthest right of this Window are partially cut off, and it makes the UI look sloppy compared to how well laid out the rest of the UI is. I'm out of time at the moment, but I will look over the rest of the application after i'm done with my work. I hope my post were understandable. I only had a few minutes to make them so I was in a rush.

That is the metro design to indicate the is more to see on the right. Use the mouse wheel to scroll. We will be adding a scrollbar for CTP4.
