The Opera browser uses a launcher. This will be addressed in CTP2.

If you have an "Alert" entry in the Programs and Features list I would try running the uninstall, rebooting and then running the install again.

When HMP Alert installs properly there is only one file - hmpalert.exe in

    c:\Program Files (x86)\HitmanPro.Alert\

Regarding icons I'm only seeing white tiles for the apps. The apps are listed though and for browsers I get the fly out and the green border (except for Opera of course). I deleted the Windows icon cache and rebooted, but that didn't help. By the way I get a ghost entry for Cyberfox which is no longer installed. I can't find any trace of it, but apparently HMP can :)

    @erikloman ,

I think I've found the problem with the no green border around Firefox 30.

I've just loaded my other image of the same machine which has Norton360 v21.4, then installed HMP.A 3 CTP1 and sure enough, the green border is there around FF. The problem must lie in the way Norton Security with Backup (beta) v22.0.0.67 integrates with FF.

If you would like to test this out you can download a trial of the beta from http://us.norton.com/ns-beta .

Please let me know if you need more information.

    Thanks!

    Yep. Why not?!

Actually, if you include SAS 6 (free)... That's beta x3. :D

Have their been any improvements in the beta with regard to deployment? Like being able to set settings in addition to just an /install switch, like turning the flyout on or off like you can in the gui menu?

There is a /flyout:never switch. Which is also in 2.6.5.

I have HMPA v3 CTP1 running on both Windows 7x64-SP1 and Windows 7x86-SP1; on both machines I'm seeing blank/white icons.

Alert 3 is a product with MANY free elements. Only the Exploit Mitigation feature requires a license.

Have you placed restrictions on hmpalert.exe process?

Not that I'm aware of :) How would restrictions be applied?

Edit: I found that Webroot SecureAnywhere was monitoring/denying HMPA in a few places. I changed all of the entries to "allow" and rebooted a couple of times, but the icons still don't display. I also checked Comodo Firewall and couldn't find any entries for HMPA.

The v3 community preview doesnt play nice with agnitum outpost firewall v9.1 on win 7 64bit
It installs fine but on reboot i get a "please wait" which goes to a black screen with cursor.
Next it cycles back to please wait and is stuck in that loop.

No other securty active apart from OFW

That's great thanks! Is there possibly a list of supported switches? I have found the list for hitmanpro to be invaluable.

Just an observation, I installed a home system the other day with W7 Pro, Panda Cloud 3 and Trusteer Rapport.
After I added HMPA 3 to the mix the keyboard went crazy when using Firefox 30, all keys got scrambled, the same key presented different letters when pressed repeatedly for example
I guess HMPA and TR does not play well together?
Removed HMPA and all went back to normal.

Running two keyboard encrypter can cause this. You can disable Keystroke Encryption at the orange tile.

I will send you a PM with a version that may work with Outpost Firewall.

You can also choose to disable keystroke encryption in Trusteer and leave the one in HMP Alert on.
