Conflict is with MBAE, not with ESET. I will provide an update. Thanks for reporting :thumb:

I have solved a small conflict with Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit.
I have replaced build 76 with build 77 that includes the fix for MBAE.

    Download
    http://dl.surfright.nl/hmpalert265.exe

Please let me know how this version runs on your computer :thumb:

    Hi Erik,

Do we need to install this beta or is it ok to keep using the latest stable release?
Will the stable release update to a newer version without manually installing the beta?

    Thanks.

This may be a dump question, but I ask it anyway:
Does patching HMPA, to make it compatible with any and all security solutions, compromise the power of its protection?

My thought are, that people use a commercial product, like Norton, and add HMPA for an extra layer off protection.
Not an AV, plus anti exploit, plus anti crypto locker, plus anti-xxx, and so on...
I guess, this will never work smooth on the long way.

Right now I'm running three computers with HMPA.
Two are on WIN7-64, with MSSE, Malwarebytes 2.001004-premium and HMPA.
One Notebook runs on WIN8-64, Bitdefender-free, Malwarebytes and HMPA.

No problems at all, since last update to build 77

On my computer it runs just as nicely as build 76.
    No new issues.
    Thanks very much.

I recommend running build 77. If you are running an older version, it will be automatically updated later this week.

No it does not. Though it is sometimes a challenge to get a specific technique to work with a specific AV. We go great lengths as you may have noticed. We are a really small and dedicated company (< 10 people) that have to work in a world of big AVs. If you are a Norton you can afford to be incompatible with a specific product. But we do not have that 'luxery'.
I think you'd noticed that build 77 finally works quite nice.

We've had various techniques in previous versions of Alert but since we've switched in 2.6.x to the same framework as Alert 3, things are falling into place and stability with other software has been pushed to great lengths.

All fixes are forward ported to Alert 3. Though Alert 3 will have it own slew of problems during Beta phase I guess. They require some hard work to get right and some are a real challenge.

I thank all Wilders members for their patience and their efforts! You guys rock! :thumb:

No, you guys at SurfRight rock!

One could soon argue that with the comming HMPA 3 combined with HMP, you aren't in a direct need of an AV anymore.

Top notch protection, detection and removal of malware and malicious content. Let me just say; BRAVO.

    Thanks, Erik.

Downloaded and installed on two Windows 7 x64 machines running N360v21.2 and all is well. Great work!

    Cheers!

We've just declared build 77 as stable.
HitmanPro.Alert users are now automatically updated to version 2.6.5 build 77.

Tried to remove version 2.6.4 through Add/Remove module.
It was removed from the list but nothing else happened, it still remained in Start-Programs list.
Booted in Safe Mode, deleted manually its Program Files folder, shortcuts and most of registry entries (some were reported not deletable).

Now, when trying to install the latest version, it reports "Application failed to install. Error 0.".
At every browser launching I get double flying info popups in the upper right corner (my setting was silent).

    Now what?

I don't know what Erik meant when he said "now". From that moment on, or from a moment later today.
Anyhow, as soon as automated updating to version 2.6.5 build 77 is set, rebooting your system should suffice.
Another way is to download and install 2.6.5.77 and reboot.
Just see if rebooting does the trick, and if not, install the new build and reboot.
N.B. Do not uninstall 2.6.3.74 first.

Run the uninstall tool from one of the posts above.

The problem you encounter has been solved in 2.6.5. If you had upgraded to build 77 the issue would have not arised as the problem occurs during uninstall only.

I urge not to uninstall 2.6.4 (or older) but run 2.6.5 executable instead (DO NOT UNINSTALL first). The installer will upgrade the existing installation. After reboot you should be able to uninstall just fine.

We upgrade all versions to 2.6.5 automatically. Click on a flyout to see if an upgrade is pending.

    Hope this helps.

Look in Windows Control Panel\ Programs\ Programs and Features.
Or alternatively, if you use CCleaner, you can look in CCleaner\ Tools\ Uninstall.
Or you can look at the version information of the hmpalert.exe file in Program Files.

Thanks, but I think that Build number should be also visible in app GUI.
Let's hope Erik can do something about it.
    :)
