I thought you can also just insert the new license and it will add the new years to your remaining time, perhaps Erik or Mark can confirm?

What about different licenses? For example, I have about a year left on a 1PC license. Can I get the 3PC license and activate it so the PC with the remaining license will have 2+1 remaining year, and two others will have the 2 years from the new license?

When you purchase a 3PC license, and activate the first computer, the other two computers are activated as well.

    You have 1x 3year, not 3x separate.

Can the license be used for Alert ?

Edit: Found answer in Alert thread. If anyone search too, it can be used

    From surfright:

If you make use of the special Black Friday offer, do not activate the new product key until your existing license expires.
When you activate a new product key, the remaining license period will not be added to the new license term.

I have lots of BSOD's lately HitmanPro 3.7 scanning for malware remnants and scan for PUPs. I always happens right at the end of the scanning process, so when I disable scanning for malware remnants It doesn't happen.
    Everytime ntoskrnl.exe is involved.

On the internet I found an advice to use driver verifier to find the drivers causing the crash:
    http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/10137...le-disable.html

Having done this, within 10 minutes chrashes with BSOD occured. I used blueScreenView.
Two times the crash involved ntoskrnl and AVC3.sys and one time it involved ntoskrnl and bdfwfpf.sys Both involving Bitdefender 2015 Dutch version total Security. I posted this on the Bitdefender forum but since the BSOD's appear scanning with HitmanPro, I try my luck here as well.

Can anybody (Erik or Mark or..) help with this?

I've had similar problems with HMP. I solved my problem by changing settings from Direct Disk Access to Compatible Disk Access. BSOD never happened since.

I had a similar issue a while back with the EWS (early warning system) and ntoskrnl.exe. Maybe untick this in advance settings, if its enabled. Not sure why but it did the trick for me.

    regards.

Simplicity, I tried to run HMP 5 times now (Compatible Disk Access), so far no crash (so good).
    Thanks.
Why is Direct Disk Access recommended? Is DDA better, faster or does it scan deeper?

TS4H, thanks but I do not have EWS enabled.

    Hi DouweG

    Can you try this

Can you perform a scan with the following command line:

    C:\Program Files\HitmanPro\hitmanPro.exe /debug:full

And send the crashlog via wetransfer.com to erik[at)surfright.com.

And can you send the Dump File See in the Windows Folder on your hard Disk

    With Best Regards

I think that in DDA mode it scans on lower level. Probably more effective against rootkits and such. Since I didn't want to have problems, I just switched to CDA and never had BSOD again.

You're right! DDA is best for rootkits. Erik or Mark will have to explain further on how effective Compatible Disk Access is against rootkits.

I set Direct Disk Access again and put C:\Program Files\HitmanPro\hitmanPro.exe /debug:full
    in start and run.
    After 4 tries I still haven't had a crash.
When it crashes again I will look for the crashlog and the dump file from windows minidump and send it to Erik via wetransfer.

    Thanks Mops!

One more question: How do I recognize the crashlog and where can I find it?

I purchased Hitman Pro for a 2 year license. Today I scanned with it and 2 pups appeared, hesitated, ran scan again and deleted them thinking it would be fine.

Now it appears that these 2 are connected with MalwareBytes Antimalware Premium. Their icon doesn't appear anymore near the clock on the right side. Don't know either what more is missing in MBAM.

Can you please adjust these seemingly false positives? Here is the pic.

Also here are the 2 pups involved:
    1) Sidebar Execute Gboxapp
    C:\Windows\System32\Tasks\

    2) SidebarExecute\ Gboxapp
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\TaskCache\Tree\

See if this pic (notepad) will help you in fixing the false positives with MBAM Premium.

I had to do a Restore because the items noted in the notepad I posted previously were not showing anymore on my PC. Therefore I think that those items were not MBAM related but the consequences of the removal of those pups (false positives?) First time that HitmanPro hit me with FP (pups) so I will NEVER again delete if that happens but post here first. Learned my lesson! :cautious:

Why did you need a restore? Those two items are just related to a scheduled task. What was the reason you had to perform a restore?

Can license keys be transferred to different PC's? (If so, how? Can customers do that themselves?)

Because the 1st folder in question was shown as being empty. Not sure about the 2nd one so I called Dell and they suggested a system restore.

MBAM Premium's icon disappeared from the taskbar besides the clock when I removed the pups in HitmanPro. Had to delete MBAM Premium and reinstall it after the system restore.

Have you fixed the pups (FP)?
