I've white listed the files. Also we are hooking up WSUS to our cloud as we speak. This should help reducing the EWS output on brand new files like the ones above.

And as always, never run with EWS, unless you suspect malware

Build 152 installed and default scans have been run.
Lots more files uploaded to the scan cloud than with previous builds... I mean files that have been on my system a long time.
That's a good thing, more thorough scanning.
Wonder why they are being looked at now, though?

 

Running build 152 on XP with zero problems. Sorry I can't offer more constructive criticism at this time. I just really want to thank you Erik for constructing such a darn excellent security tool. It is worth every penny. Hang up another victory flag for the good guys. I bet just about everybody on this list would agree.

Just wanted you to know that subsequent to the system instability I experienced and reported a few weeks ago (causing me to install a saved image of my drive), I have reinstalled HMP.

I've run the last couple of versions without incident except for one false positive on snapshot.exe (which is the executable for Drive Snapshot, a very well respected imaging software many Wilders members are familiar with and use). (I am no longer getting the alert since I reported it.)

I hope that you will still have the opportunity to trace the cause of the instability issues that arose during remnant removal but at least I am able to run the program (at least for scanning purposes) without any hesitation.
