    Thanks Kent!
Here's log for the 3rd computer...BTW, this computer also has a recent problem going on with Outlook Express, we can no longer read any messages we get or send, the body of the messages are blank. The subject lines are all there, but no text. And old messages that we had read before and filed in other folders are all now blank too. Didn't know if anything in here would/could have done that.

    Hi Char-Baby Cakes,

    Welcome to Wilders.

Before you start, please unzip or move HijackThis to a separate folder. The program will make backups in the folder it's in. These easily get lost in a temporary folder or a folder with other programs.

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = about:blank
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = about:blank
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = about:blank
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch = about:blank
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = about:blank
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = about:blank

    O16 - DPF: {11111111-1111-1111-1111-111300000000} - mhtml:C:\\NO_SUCH_MHT.MHT!http://216.240.137.40/g1.exe

Download CWShredder and run. Be sure ALL other windows are closed and use the Fix button and follow the instructions you will receive.

Reboot and see if you still have the problem with your email. You may want to post a new HJT log also to be sure.

    Regards,
    Kent

And here's the 3rd log, after all the cleaning...and no, email is still screwed up, darn it. That one has me baffled.

    Hi Char-Baby Cakes,

You got all the baddies from the HJT log cleaned on # 3 now too.

    Good work!!!

You might want to post a detailed description of the exact email problems you are having and Pieter or one of the other Experts here can look at your problem and possibly help. Just add the post to this thread and one of the Experts will be here in the next hours and see if they can help. Keep an eye on this thread for responses.

    Regards,
    Kent

  5. Thanks Kent!! I really appreciate it!
I have posted it on another thread too, I believe in the other software issues forum or something...
What is happening is in our Outlook Express(ver 6.0), we are getting and can send emails, but there is no text in the message body. Either in the ones we send, or ones we receive. The subject line, everything up top is there, but nothing that has been typed in the message section is there, no sig file, nothing. And other emails that were received before this happened and saved to other folders besides the Inbox are now blank too, when we had already read them, so we know they had messages...I have tried reinstalling the software, but that didn't work...any ideas??
    Thanks again.
    Charlotte.

The only thing I can think of is that you may have the color of the background and the text (almost) the same.
    Is that possible?

    Regards,

    Pieter
