Hijack this

    I downloaded Hijack this. I cannot run it because it says I am missing a certain DLL file. My computer has been taken over by POPNAV, all kinds of popups, my homepage has been taken over, etc. I have downloaded updated firewalls, virus protection, adware. Nothing has helped. HELP ME PLEASE.

    It sounds like you don't have the needed Visual Basic runtime libraries installed. The last version of VB6-SP5 is available directly from Microsoft at this link (it's applicable to every Windows version inspite of the link having Win98 in it):

    http://download.microsoft.com/download/vb60pro/Redist/sp5/WIN98Me/EN-US/vbrun60sp5.exe

    Download and run this. Then you ought to be able to run any applications that use VB.
