A few weeks ago, shortly after I connected to the internet porn websites would automatically appear on my screen. Since running Ad-aware, I have no longer had this problem. However, now search engine sites open themselves up whenever I'm on the internet.

    Hello Bobbins,

    Welcome to Wilders :)

Before you start, please unzip or move HijackThis to a separate folder of its own. The program will make backups to the folder it's in. These easily get lost in a temporary folder.

Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.btopenworld.com/searchpane
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.btopenworld.com/togetherinternet/
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://uk.red.clientapps.yahoo.com/...fo/bt_side.html
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Window Title = Microsoft Internet Explorer
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://uk.red.clientapps.yahoo.com/...arch.yahoo.com/
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Connection Wizard,Shellnext = http://www.btopenworld.com/togetherinternet

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {62160EEF-9D84-4C19-B7B8-6AC2526CD726} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\ixaziji.dll

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
    O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\OSA.EXE

    O14 - IERESET.INF: START_PAGE_URL=http://bt.yahoo.com

The entry in blue color is optional to fix. These are either typically infrequently used tasks that can be started manually if necessary or a resource hog which isn't necessary for the operation of your system.

Reboot your machine and boot into safe mode by tapping F8 key(8-9 times) at bootup.

This may happen that file is hidden so first unhide the files using following instructions...
    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...Virus Corporate Edition&ver=8.x&osv=&osv_lvl=

Search and If present, delete the following file(s)..

    C:\WINDOWS\System32\ixaziji.dll

Reboot your machine and boot into normal mode.

I highly recommend that you go to Windows update(Start->windows update) and install all "Critical Updates and Service Packs" ASAP!. This will patch numerous security holes in IE and Windows.

    With Thanks !
    Newkid !
