Hi, I'd be grateful if someone could take a look at this for me. A porn pop-up keeps appearing when I'm on-line and I get booted out and a flame icon appears in the system tray, which I keep right-clicking and uninstalling. It seems to be trying to dial me into some premium rate thing. The icon has also appeared on my desktop at times. I've done a Spyboy Search & Destroy and here's my Hijack This log. Cheers!

    Let's try this

Before you start, please unzip HijackThis to it's own folder somewhere.
The program will make backups in the folder it's run from.
These easily get lost in a Temp folder and are an annoyance on the desktop.

Use Taskmanager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) to end these running processes if you can
    (or use Process Explorer)
    C:\WINDOWS\DEAMON.EXE
    C:\PROGRAM FILES\WMX\DIALERS\ROUGHRIDERS\ROUGHRIDERS.EXE
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\QSEARCH.EXE

Uninstall Acceleration Soft from "Add/Remove Programs" in Control Panel

Run HijackThis again, push Scan and place a check mark next to the following items using your mouse.
Next, close all browser Windows, and push the 'Fix checked' button in HijackThis

Empty the TIF (Temporary Internet Files)
To do so use Control Panel > Internet Options(or right click the IE icon on the desktop and choose Properties)
Click Delete Files on the General Tab - place a check in the Delete all offline content box and then press OK

Delete all the files in (and any subfolders of) the C:\Windows\Temp\ folder

Set your Explorer up using the info in this link so that hidden and System files are visible
Also Uncheck the "Hide extensions for known file types" box

    Reboot to SAFE mode
How to start the computer in Safe mode

    Delete the following files:
    C:\WINDOWS\deamon.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\npnzdad.exe

    Delete the following folder(s) completely
    C:\PROGRAM FILES\WEBSX\
    C:\PROGRAM FILES\ACCELERATION SOFTWARE\ <= (if it was sucessfully removed)
    C:\Program Files\WMx\

    Reboot to normal mode

Download Spybot - Search and Destroy
After installing, first press Online, and search for, put a check mark at, and install all updates.
Next, close all Internet Explorer windows, hit 'Check for Problems', and after SpyBotSD has completed it's scan push the 'Fix checked' button for all that it has automatically selected.

Rescan with your AV (update it first) or get a good online virus scan at HouseCall

You're not out of the woods here
The most worrisome is a new one ( XXYPSXQG.EXE )

Date Manager is SpyWare from Gator an your Webscan (defscangui) is as well -- I'll let you deal with those

Use Taskmanager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) to end these running processes if you can
    (or use Process Explorer)
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\XXYPSXQG.EXE

    Remove this entry with HijackThis
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [XXYPSXQG] c:\windows\system\xxypsxqg.exe /install

Reboot and delete the xxypsxqg.exe file

    -----------
Download the latest version of Ad-Aware at http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
After installing AAW, and before running the program, you NEED to FIRST update the reference file following these instructions.
    Now do the following:
    - Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Scanning Engine:
check: "Unload recognized processes during scanning."
    - Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Cleaning Engine:
Check: "Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."

    Press "Scan Now"
    - Check option "Use Custom scanning options"
    - Check option "Activate In-Depth Scan"
    - Press "Select drives\folders to scan"
    - Select the active partition which is usually C:

Now press "Next" to let Ad-aware scan your drives...
It will find a number of "bad" files and registry keys.
Right-click in that pane and choose "select all"

    Now press "Next" again.
It will ask you whether you'd like to remove all checked items. Click OK.

    Finally, close Ad-Aware, and reboot.
