    Hi Limboman,

Before you start please unzip hijackthis.exe to a folder of it´s own. The program creates backups in the folder it is in. In a Temp folder they easily disappear.

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://www.seekseek.com/quicksearch.asp?session=C4AB6CDA-8D32-4CA8-976C-E82AF9BB9FA6&version_id=18

    Download LSPfix here: http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
Launch the application, and click the "I know what I'm doing" checkbox.
Check all instances of inetadpt.dll (and nothing else), and move them to the "Remove" pane.
    Then click Finish.

Then reboot into safe mode and delete:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\BTLINK <= entire folder
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\stcloader.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\mwsvm.exe

Boot normally and surf to http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus and have these files checked:
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\svcss.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\vdpcxusa.exe
Let us know the results please.

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Hi Limboman,

Open VX2Finder and click on the *click to find VX2.BetterInternet* button.

Then select the *Delete these files* button.
You will be left with notice about one to be deleted on reboot.
It will ask to reboot on deletion of the last file
    Do that.

And try to post your answers by using the Reply button. I may miss one of them if you spread them all over the board. ;)

    Regards,

    Pieter

You probably blocked the updater for this crapware. They are at version 124 and you still have version 121.

Did you select the msg121.dll in the bottom window?

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Hi Pieter

there is no result in the bottom window. Is their another way to delte the file or to deblock the up-date facility.

I was afraid you were going to ask that so I already been in the archives. :)

    First download The Killbox
Unzip the files to a folder, then double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. In the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste the following:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\msg121.dll

Don't click any of the buttons though, instead please click on the Action menu and choose "Delete on Reboot". On the next screen, click on the File menu and choose "Add File". The filename and path should show up in the window. If that's successful, choose the Action menu and select "Process and Reboot". You'll be prompted to reboot, do so.

Download https://www.wilderssecurity.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=136502 and save it as L2M.reg
Doubleclick it and confirm to merge with the registry.

Then run VX2Finder again and post a new log.

    Regards,

    Pieter
