Hello, I scanned with hijack can anyone advise me what to do?
Norton says I have the gaobot worm and it can't repair delete or quarantine it, and the removal tool doesn't find the worm.
    Thanks Kelly

    Hi frustrated2,

Is your XP installatiion an upgrade?
From what I have found the virus is in the compressed files of the old OS. You will have to delete all of them to get rid of it and that would make it impossible to go back if you ever want that.

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Hi frustrated2,

That is really entirely up to you. The way I look at it, you have two choices:
-If you want to keep the option to go back to a (probably infected) OS, exclude the undo folder from scanning and keep it in the back of your head, that there is a virus in there if you ever use it.

-Or delete the entire folder and loose the ability to return.

    Regards,

    Pieter
