Higher Compatibility vs Higher Efficiency

    I have a broadband connection, 1/2 meg (soon to be upgraded to 2 megs) and I do not like the way higher efficiency noticeably slows my browsing and results in downloading some files twice, so I have been running v2.5 with the default higher compatibilty settings. What I do not understand is the difference in terms of security. As a case in point, if I check Ad-Aware for any updates, it will tell me there are currently none available and IMON - set to higher compatibilty for everything - will show it has scanned http://download.lavasoft.de/public/wu.dat So what would IMON have done differently in this instance if all relevant settings were set to higher efficiency?

    WEll....I don';t know exactly how these 2 engines works but I'm using Higher compatibility and it scans very welll....no pb since now... :)
