-I have 3 primary partitions on my laptop's HDD. Two are XP Pro; one is Server 2003. The 2nd partition, XP Pro, has become marked as Active and Hidden, evidently during a restoration of a backup. This, of course, prevents it from booting. Disk Director and TI are latest builds.
-Tried deactivating OSS, using DD to unhide then reactivating OSS via boot CD and it still shows as hidden by OSS. Also tried by uninstalling OSS with same result.
-Is there a procedure that will unhide the partition?

-Just tried uninstalling OSS and directing that the 2nd partition would be the OS and the instructions were ignored and the 1st partition became active.

    Hello Kear45,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Disk Management Software.

Please note that partitions hiding is enabled by means of Acronis OS Selector by selecting the corresponding settings in the partitions properties for particular OS. Please read more in chapter 7.7 "Setting operating system properties" of the users guide.

If the above doesn't help please download Acronis Report utility available at http://www.acronis.com/files/support/AcronisReport.exe and run it, create a report and send it to us. This would provide us with detailed information on the hard disk partition structure.

    Thank you.
