Help With UVNC and WF

I have installed UltraVNC on my laptop and on my wifes laptop. My daughter uses my wifes laptop in her bedroom to stream netflix cartoons before she goes to sleep. I wanted to be able to control her laptop from the other room so my daughter doesnt have a reason to get out of bed. I cant however get Windows Firewall to allow UVNC to connect to her laptop until I turn it off. I have set WF on her laptop to allow UVNC with TCP and UDP traffic on the port I have specified. I have the password for UVNC right. The only time it doesnt work is if WF is on. What next?
