I decided to uninstall this firewall, and to my surprise, It isn't letting me uninstall it! It is the 2002 version, and It's saying that I must log in to a supervisor account before uninstalling it. My account is set to be a PC administrator, and still I have no success. I now HATE that programme, as I can't play any online games. Can someone please tell me how to 'log in' to a supervisor account and how to uninstall this darn programme!!!!!

    Hi AAI

A few more details might help. Which OS? NIS or NPF and was parental control/accounts installed?

This could just be a matter of configuring the firewall properly for your games. Have you checked your logs to determine what is being blocked and what rule modifications may be required?

    Regards,

The Supervisor account is one of the NIS/NPF built in account types and does not refer to the ones found on your computer.

Have a look at the following document, after you finished the steps outlined there you should be able to uninstall Norton Personal Firewall:

    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nip.nsf/docid/2000101111473236

If this does still not work have a look at the following document, especially at the section dealing with RnisUPG.exe:

    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...ent&ExpandSection=2&Src=bar_sch_nam#_Section2
