Hope this is in the right place...
I've purchased Norton Ghost 9 specifically to help me upgrade to a biger (pre-used) HDD, and then to build it into my security routine from here on.

Used Tools>Copy Drive, and selected the following options:
Check destination for file system errors
    Set Drive active
    Copy mbr

BUT the 'Destination partition type' (set to 'Primary') and the 'Drive Letter' (set as 'F', after C and 2 cd drives D & E) were greyed out. I guess I would have tried to name the new copy as C, but I couldn't...

Copy process was OK. Removed old drive, set new drive as master. As soon as Windows tries to start, I get a flash of a blue screen - too fast to read any of it - and the machine reboots, going round in circles. All of the startup options (safe mode etc) do the same.

Tried copying twice, same result. Put the old drive back in to post this!

Can anyone please suggest what might be going wrong? Thanks

    btw Win XP pro, NTFS
