Just built new machine, installed windows live messenger.

When I try to send a file however it brings popup saying I must have virus checker set to scan files before I can do this. There's an option to download microsoft one but I'd rather just use what I have (eset nod32 antivirus v4)

I can point it to which eset file will scan for me, but I don't know which one to pick in the eset directory, there's a few .exe files in there.

So which one should I point it to?

I've just set mine up via the info on that link and it works. What you need to do is that, and then get a friend to send you a EICAR test file via MSN messenger file transfers, this is NOT a virus, it's a file that will trigger your anti virus program and block it, this way you'll know if it's working.

The file is safe and is used to test anti virus programs without actualy introducing a virus to the system.

    Hope this helped.
