hello pieter , the main problem i have been having is it takes a long time for my system to shut down when i switch of the computer.I am just checking out all avenues, and have posted a log just to see if there is anything bad.All scans with nav, nod, and tds are clear, i also clear out my temporary internet files regulary and also defrag as well.
Do you have any ideas to this problem as it has only started doing it a short while.I am running xp.

    thanks the mul

    Hi the mul,

Would this happen to be after installing ProcessGuard?
You could check at their forum http://www.wilderssecurity.com/index.php?board=40 if you may have added something for protection that could be causing this.

    Regards,

    Pieter

I run WinMe and I tried running Nod32 and Norton on the same computer together while giving Nod a try. I was getting slow downs in my system. )Shutting Down and Rebooting) I think there was a conflict there.

So I uninstalled Norton and let Nod do it's thing and things have been working fine.

    Hi Goonman,

I'm running NOD and NAV alongside as well (NAV resident and NOD´s AMON disabled) and I noticed no major increase in shutting down.
Having two resident AV scanners is asking for problems anyway IMO.

    Regards,

    Pieter

I have run nod and nav together for ages with no problems shutting down. But when i try to shut down,, u can hear it shutting down, and it says saving settings on the screen, but that is as far as it goes, it just will not shut down fully, it stays on the save setting and will go no further unless u switch it of at the mains i have even uninstalled process guard but there is no difference.
I do not download many programmes and pg is the only new one i have downloaded.

Thank you Sir, I was just passing on that with my Quirky WinMe that was the problem I had ran into with Nav and Nod. So I no longer use NAV. But that does not mean it will not work for others.
