It's hard when you get old. At least some things are hard. I have an external USB enclosure that I use to store photos. I installed an new larger HD now I have to get it to work. The computer recognized it as an data storage device. It doesn't show up as a HD in [My Computer]. I have forgotten what I need to do to assign a drive letter and so forth. I have XP Pro. Thank you for the help.

Did you partition and format it yet?

Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Storage > Disk Management

Thank you my friend. It is so seldom that I do these things I forget what I did. I will let you know how I made out.
